Dissension in Religion

Answer:

The religion with Allah is Islam. Those given the Book only differed after knowledge had come to them, envying one another. As for those who reject Allah’s Signs, Allah is swift at reckoning. (3:19)

Answer:

  1. Do not be like those who split up and differed after the Clear Signs came to them. They will have a terrible punishment. (3:105)
  2. As for those who divide up their religion and form into sects, you have nothing whatsoever to do with them. Their affair will go back to Allah and then He will inform them about what they did. (6:159)
  3. (Idolaters are) those who split up their religion, and form into sects, each faction exulting in what they have. (30:32)

  1. Hold fast to the rope of Allah all together, and do not separate. Remember Allah’s blessing to you when you were enemies and He joined your hearts together so that you became brothers by His blessing. You were on the very brink of a pit of the Fire and He rescued you from it. In this way Allah makes His Signs clear to you, so that hopefully you will be guided. (3:103)
  2. Obey Allah and His Messenger and do not quarrel among yourselves lest you lose heart and your momentum disappear. And be steadfast. Allah is with the steadfast. (8:46)

  1. Have nothing to do with those who have divided their religion up into sects. Allah will call them to account: He will in the end tell them the truth of all that they did. (Al-Anaam,159)
  2. Do not be like those who are divided amongst themselves and oppose to one another after receiving clear signs: for them there will be a dreadful penalty. (Al-Imran,105)
