- Allah commands justice and doing good and giving to relatives. And He forbids indecency and doing wrong and tyranny. He warns you so that hopefully you will pay heed. (Quran,16:90)
- Give your relatives their due, and the very poor and travellers but do not squander what you have. Squanderers are brothers to the Satans, and Satan was ungrateful to his Lord. (Quran,17:26-27)

Those of you possessing affluence and ample wealth should not make oaths that they will not give to their relatives and the very poor and those who have migrated in the way of Allah. They should rather pardon and overlook. Would you not love Allah to forgive you? Allah is Ever-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (Quran,24:22)
